Today we’ll talk about SEO.
SEO is short of search engine optimization. Ok, you are wondering what does that exactly mean? Well if you are reading this blog, chances are you either know exactly what it means, or you are seeking to learn what it means. Search engine optimization is a bit of an blanket term in that it means several things. However, overall it is the act of carrying out tasks and involving methods to achieve one thing, more exposure and a listing in the search engines. Most companies have their own method of conducting SEO. See, search engines work by crawling the content on websites, and aggregating all of that data in to one place, the search results page. So how do you get to the first page of Google? Well, of course that is the most competitive place to be, and it is no easy task. The more competitive your industry is tougher it can be to get exposed on the first page. There are many factors that help increase one’s rankings. Google looks at many things such as domain age, original descriptive content on the websites that includes keywords that one may type in a search engine. This is just a few. So to sum up, SEO may yield better ROI long term with potentially more exposure than traditional paid advertising. I have seen many of our clients yield multiple 1st page Google results.
